In Canada, CBD, whatever the source, falls under the Cannabis Act. That means CBD products are subject to the same rules as THC products: sold only through legal cannabis channels, lab-tested, and labelled.
What that means for you
- Buy it from authorized cannabis retailers: not gas stations, wellness shops, or random websites. Those are not legal CBD sources here.
- Legal CBD comes with verified content and contaminant testing, so you actually know what you’re getting.
- “Hemp-derived CBD” sold outside the legal system isn’t a loophole in Canada, it’s still regulated.
What CBD does
