Why to shop by terpene, not THC

Walk into any store and the products are sorted by THC percentage, biggest number up front, priced to match. It’s the wrong way to shop, and most experienced users have figured that out.

What THC actually tells you

Potency. That’s it. A higher number means a stronger high and a higher chance of anxiety or a racing heart if you take too much. It says nothing about flavour, character, or whether you’ll actually enjoy the flower.

What terpenes tell you

Terpenes are the aromatic compounds behind a strain’s smell and a big part of how it feels. A high-myrcene flower leans relaxing. A high-limonene one leans bright. That’s far more useful for picking something you’ll like than a record-setting THC figure.

The practical move
