Nova Scotia sells cannabis through its government liquor retailer, the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation (NSLC), often alongside alcohol in the same stores.

The basics

Legal age: 19+
Where to buy: NSLC stores and the NSLC online shop. No private retailers.
Possession: Up to 30 g in public.
Home growing: Up to 4 plants per residence is permitted.

Where you can consume

Allowed broadly where tobacco smoking is permitted, with restrictions near schools, playgrounds, and other public areas; municipalities can add rules.

Buying legally in Nova Scotia

The NSLC is the only legal seller, all product is lab-tested.
